If you’re looking for an honest review that tells you “What is Userfeel?”, you’ve come to the right place.
Owning a website is becoming more and more like offline real estate. You create websites that serve as locations that offer some sort of value: entertainment, education, motivation, or something else. In the commercial real estate arena, people like grocery store owners watch how their customers interact with the space, and find sales opportunities based on their findings. As a result, you’ll find things like candy and gum right alongside the checkout. They’re placed there to tempt passer-bys into a purchase.
Online entrepreneurs need the same type of observations. Unfortunately, in the online space, it’s not nearly as easy to know whether it’s comfortable for users to get around your site, where hidden opportunities lie, and so on. Even worse, if you wait around to find negative trends, you could’ve lost a chance at building new customer relationships that you may never get back.
Companies like Userfeel saw the problem of website owners. They need feedback on the user experience of their sites, and it’s not good enough to ask mom, dad, brother, and sister. Instead, website owners need to be able to get on-demand feedback on the user experience of their websites.

What is Userfeel? Product Overview
Userfeel is a company that offers usability testing to website owners on-demand. They train testers on how to record videos that offer helpful feedback to website owners, so they can improve the user experience of their websites.
How Does Userfeel Work?
Userfeel works in two ways: for the website owner and for the tester.
The Website or Prototype Owner
When you need feedback on a website, app, or prototype, you can visit Userfeel for usability feedback. You’d simply create an account.
Once your account is created, you create a scenario, and populate tasks for the tester to do. For example, let’s say you have a women’s fashion e-commerce website. As a scenario, you could say “Pretend for a second, you’re visiting the website to purchase a dress for going on a date between $20 and $250”. The tester would have to scroll around on your website to find a dress within $20 and $250. The unstaged scrolling of the tester would help you to discover how a user would navigate your website when they’re looking for something.
Userfeel provides testers that speak their thoughts aloud as their scrolling, so if they’re confused or having trouble, you should be able to hear the confusion narrated by the tester. The video recorded tests and feedback of the testers can be used to improve the usability and conversion rates on your website.
As a tester, you’d create an account at the Userfeel website, download the screen recording app, and perform a qualification test.
The qualification tests are typically 20 minutes where you’d perform similar to a real tests. You’re given a scenario and tasks, and you’re expected to speak your thoughts aloud while completing each task. After you’ve completed the task, you’re asked follow up questions, your test is uploaded, and you’ll recieve a rating. Testers with the highest ratings usually get the best testing opportunities.
How Do You Make Money with Userfeel?
As a Website Owner
As a website, app, or prototype owner, you’d make money by using the feedback from the testers to improve your site’s user experience. If the website is easier for people to use, then it’s likely, you can get more sales and referrals as a result.
As a Tester
As a website tester, you make money by responding to requests for testers. When tests are available, Userfeel sends messages to their testers, and the tests are taken at a first-come, first-serve basis. After performing the test, Userfeel approves the test, and you can expect payment after one week.
How Much Can you Make with Userfeel?
Since tests are 10-20 minutes, and you can earn $10 each, you can make up to $60 in one hour (if you perform 10-minute tests back to back). However, there’s typically a higher amount of testers in comparison with the amount of tests, therefore, it’s very unlikely to perform multiple tests within one hour, or to test sites consistently.

Who is Userfeel For?
Userfeel is perfect for someone who is looking for:
- Extra money periodically
- People who want to make money on a fleible schedule
- Someone who wants to supplement other revenue sources
Userfeel Tools & Training
Userfeel offers tutorials for Testers and Website Owners so they’ll know the expectations and how to get the best results. The training isn’t extensive, however, it’s sufficient for you to get started using the site and getting tests done.
Userfeel doesn’t appear to have many support options. They have a contact form and social media accounts, but there’s no phone number, chat support or any other readily available way of contacting anyone.
What Are Common Complaints About Userfeel?
I haven’t seen many complaints about Userfeel. When I’ve read reviews on the experiences others have had, the major con is the tests are inconsistent and sometimes, you may not qualify. Userfeel works similar to other survey or research companies because their customers want feedback from specific demographics, so if you fit within the demographic, you might get more opportunities, but if you don’t…
Like anything else, usability testing comes with a cost.
For Website Owners
Userfeel costs approximately $50 per usability test unless you buy in bulk. When you buy in bulk, you’ll get discounted like this…
For Site Testers
For website testers, usability testing is free. You create your account and you can test websites without any membership or hidden fees.
My Final Opinion of Userfeel
Userfeel is a great opportunity for side hustle cash. I don’t think it’s a good opportunity as a primary income, but if you have another income source that you’d like to supplement, I think Userfeel could be a great option.
Want to Make More Money Testing Websites?
If you really want to make money testing websites as a side hustle, I’d recommend you also setting up an account at Usertesting and setting up gigs at Fiverr. Usability testing is a valuable service people are willing to pay for, so go for it!
Want More Money Beyond Website Testing?
While website testing is a legitimate opportunity, if you’re looking for something consistent that can possibly grow into a full time income stream, website testing thru Fiverr, Usertesting, and Userfeel won’t cut it.
One of my main income streams has come for the last three years from starting an online business. If you start an online business testing websites, you could begin to attract more opportunities than Fiverr, Usertesting, or Userfeel could bring you. In fact, you can continue with them and acquire customers of your own.
If you’re unfamiliar with the concept, it can sound overwhelming, but that’s why I tried to break it down into bite-size pieces in my 10-step guide. Check out my 10-Step Guide and learn how to start an online business from idea to enterprise NOW!
