Thrive Themes Product Overview

If you’re struggling to decide how to make your website more appealing, increase page speed, improve your sales conversions, and take your online business to the next level, you may want to consider changing themes.  Your website theme is like the “curb appeal” for your digital real estate.  It’s important to have a welcoming first impression when people land at your website, so they’ll feel comfortable engaging with your content and returning to visit again.  Thrive Themes is a marketing technology company that creates conversion-focused themes and plugins to increase customer engagement, retention, and sales.

Their products include Thrive Themes, Thrive Leads, Thrive Optimize, Thrive Apprentice, Thrive Ovation, Thrive Quiz Builder, Thrive Content Builder, Thrive Ultimatum, Thrive Membership, and Thrive University.  This review is going to be specifically on the Thrive Themes, however, I highly recommend checking out the other Thrivetheme products (especially the Thrive membership), and evaluating whether they can help you achieve some business goals you may have.

Remember…A successful business is built on the back of great products and services, so choose reliable products and services and you’ll be able to grow your business exponentially.

The Good & the Bad

The Good:

  • PRO #1  The Thrive themes look very nice and give a professional image

  • PRO #2  You get landing page templates that you can use straight from WordPress.  You can save money because you won’t need Clickfunnels or Leadpages to make landing pages!

  • PRO #3  There is amazing support with Thrive Themes.  They have courses, tutorials, forums, additional products, and so many ways for you to increase conversions, split test, ask a question and get answers.

  • PRO #4  There is a international community, so alot of tips and advice you can get from the community is applicable internationally

  • Pro#5  There are many customization options, so the Thrive themes can look unique

The Bad:

CON #1 There is a learning curve

CON #2 This isn’t a con on the company, but a con on you…You’d miss out on alot of Thrive Themes features if you only bought the theme and not the Thrive membership

Thrive Themes are my #1 recommended themes, but the best package with Thrive Themes is the Thrive Membership.  For $67.00 you can get one unlimited license to one theme.  For $298.00/year, you can get all of the themes, all of the plugins, all of their courses, access to their internet marketing community, and ongoing updates and new products.  Do you see what I mean?  The value is in the membership.  I chose the membership, and I haven’t regretted that.  It’s a theme, but it’s also a network and training resource.

Who is Thrive Themes For?

Thrive Themes are for entrepreneurs who are serious about their business.  Thrive themes are premium themes, so you have to pay for them.  If you’re unsure about what you’re looking for in a theme, you should probably get an idea of what you might want your website to look like, and compare whether Thrive Themes looks like it can deliver what you’re looking for.  Check out the demos that they have, and the various post types (audio, standard, quotes, etc.) to see whether it supports the media type you plan to put onto your website well.  Here’s a brief example of what they look like.  You can click the images to go check out the full demo.

You can take a look at the Pressive Theme:

Here’s a video to show you the themes in action:

I’ve purchased premium themes before that I was VERY unhappy with, and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone.  When I purchased other premium themes, I found them very difficult to customize, some had layout quirks, and unfortunately, with those purchases, there was not much support.  Often times, there is an upsell for “theme installation” that you’re asked to pay for if you have problems troubleshooting the themes.

Thrive Themes has lots of information on ways you can customize Thrive Themes in the Thrive University, they have lots of users willing to advise in the forums, and the have a Youtube channel with quite a bit of information.  If you’d like to have the theme and all of their other products, you can upgrade to the membership, but you don’t have to.  It’s a choice, but not something you feel forced to do because the product is not operational as a standalone.

Thrive Themes Tools & Training

As I mentioned, Thrive Themes has Thrive University.  There are so many courses there!  Thrive Themes calls themselves “your internet marketing business in a box” for a reason.  They aren’t simply a theme creator.  They want to help you get sales and revenue in your business, so they provide themes, plugins, community, and training.  Here’s what Thrive University courses look like from the inside:

They keep growing the course offering, so joining Thrive University for FREE could be an amazing use of your time.  They are constantly making webinars like:

Classes in Thrive University include:

From Internet Rubbish to Content Gold

How To Increase Sales Without Increasing Traffic

22 Tips to Build Your Mailing List Faster

And this webinar tells you how to maximize the use of their products:

Some of the courses are Thrive Member Exclusives, but many of the courses are absolutely free.  Anyone can sign up and get invaluable information on how to increase their sales conversions, optimize their online businesses, and retain customers.  You should check out Thrive University even if you decide not to buy Thrive products!

Thrive Themes Support

Thrive Themes has several options for you to get support.  The training, forums, and contact us page.  The forums are very active and a way for you to get to know other internet marketers and get quick answers!

Did you see the support forum said 146,720 posts from 27,324 different people, and was last updated 6 minutes ago?  I’d say that’s an active forum, and that’s the forum for the theme alone.  There are other forums for other products.

Thrive Themes Price

Thrive Themes are $49.00 for a single site license, $69.00 for unlimited site license.  The Thrive membership pricing goes like this:

My Final Opinion of Thrive Themes

I recommend the Thrive Themes (especially the membership).  The themes are great and the customization is great.  The landing pages, sales funnels, the ability to use the themes as a membership site (when used with the Thrive Apprentice plugin), the ability to gain so much data from your website users as they interact with your website, and so many other features make Thrive Themes a must-have for serious internet entrepreneurs.  Check out Thrive Themes for your business!

As a newbie I struggled with picking a theme for MyCountryGarage. Finally settling on one that seemed very basic. I need the input from sites like yours that explain a Theme in a more substantial way like how to keep it dynamic so it won’t get stale and how to keep the content relevant to customers and class availability specific to the theme.
I viewed you site with Chrome and it was easy to navigate and loaded quickly.
    Thanks Jim.

Thanks Jim for the feedback.  I switch them up quite a bit.  Thrive has quite a few to choose from.  All of them give a good reader experience, but I haven’t tapped into half of the customizations yet.

  2. Hi Domena; Is Thrive Themes a part of WordPress? I am now filling up my website that has a theme, with content. until now I was not really clear on the purpose of a Theme on a Website.

Thank you for the illustration that you have provided.

Is it easy to get Theme from Thrive Themes that relates to ones niche?

    1. Tiffany Domena

Hello Dorcas!  Thanks for asking your question.  WordPress is the company that makes the content management system, so we can publish content on the internet without coding skills.  Thrive Themes (and themes in general) are addons to WordPress.  A WordPress website has to have an addon (theme) or a person with web development or web design skills to make the website look nice.

Thrive Themes are one option of many for purchasing a premium theme focusing on aesthetics and conversions. Their themes make websites look very nice and the plugins give you the ability to split test headlines and other things, customize landing pages (included with the themes), and so much more.

Themes can be specific to a niche, but Thrive Themes are targeted broadly.  They are focused on people who want a thriving online business (which embraces many different niches).  There are so many things and customizations you can make to increase sales conversions–that’s why I recommend them for entrepreneurs.

      Thanks again for stopping by!
